ContenTracker is a service that creates uniquely altered copies of your documents for each recipient. If your content is ever leaked or shared without authorization, you can identify which recipient was the source.

How does ContenTracker work?

We use steganographic techniques to embed invisible, unique identifiers into each copy of your document. These watermarks are imperceptible to the human eye but can be detected with provided instructions. Each recipient receives a version with their unique identifier encoded into it. You can then identify the source of the leak, by comparing the sent documents against the leaked one.

What file types are supported?

We currently support PNG, JPEG, and GIF images, PDF documents, and plain text files. Each file type uses a different technique optimized for that format.

Is my content stored on your servers?

Accepted Answer

No. Your uploaded content is processed temporarily and deleted immediately after you download your results or navigate away from the page. We do not retain copies of your documents. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How many recipients can I add?

Accepted Answer

You can add as many recipients as you need. Processing for up to 3 recipients is free. For 4 or more recipients, a small fee applies.

What information do you collect about me?

We collect minimal information: an anonymous device identifier (stored in your browser), and technical logs for security purposes. We do not use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics. Your uploaded content and recipient list are not stored after processing.

How do I check if a document has been leaked?

If you receive a copy of your document that you suspect was leaked, compare it against the version you sent to each recipient. The unique watermark encoded in the document will be different for each recipient.

What happens if I close my browser before downloading?

Accepted Answer

Your processed files are available for a limited time. If you close your browser or navigate away before downloading, you'll need to upload and process your document again. This is by design to protect your privacy.
